Mango TV’s AIGC drama “The Later Journey to the West” has begun streaming on Mango TV and airing during Hunan TV’s prime-time schedule. The first-season Huaguoshan arc is billed as China’s first AIGC long-form drama to reach a satellite-TV audience.
The production was made through Mango TV’s Mango Lingchuang AI content platform and uses a rolling model in which production, review and broadcast take place in parallel. The format allows later episodes to be adjusted based on regulatory review and audience feedback, turning an AI-generated program into a test of how generative technology can fit a mainstream content pipeline.
