Xiaomi Automobile Technology has received a Chinese utility model patent for a “logo lifting device and vehicle.” The patent, CN224617606U, was granted on Aug. 11 and describes a vehicle system that can raise and switch between two logos.
The mechanism uses a mounting frame, a movable block and a drive system that moves the block along a guide with straight and curved sections. The patent filing says existing lifting-logo designs can be complex and heavy and may affect vehicle range. It does not indicate whether Xiaomi plans to use the system in a production vehicle.
